Top 10 Fall To-dos

The weather is starting to cool off and we are giving fall a big Wisconsin welcome! Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year in Wisconsin. With so many activities, we have narrowed down your top 10 fall to-dos.

1. Visit a pumpkin patch

Nothing beats spending the afternoon picking out the perfect pumpkin for your front porch. Paint it or carve it, either way your home will be looking festive.

2. Complete a corn maze

Get off of the beaten path and try out a corn maze. Follow the map or just get lost trying.

3. Watch a football game

Whether you are cheering on Bucky and the Badger Football Team, the Green Bay Packers, or your local high school team, football is a Wisconsin tradition like no other.

4. Bake all of the things!

The fall brings out some special flavors. Spend time baking with your family. Try recipes for some classics like apple crisp or pumpkin bars.

5. Go for a hike

The leaves are changing and the scenery is gorgeous. Take a hike at one of the Wisconsin State Parks. Trust us, the views are worth it!

6. Break out the sweaters

Remember to layer up this fall. It’s time to throw on those cozy, cable-knit sweaters. Layer with a vest and you have the perfect pumpkin patch outfit!

7. Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest has been a long-time tradition in Wisconsin. We celebrate the German heritage of many small towns with a variety of Oktoberfest throughout the state. While the location may change, the beer always stays the same.

8. Go to a haunted house

Not everyone enjoys the thrill of a good scare, but a haunted house is a great night time activity on those chilly fall evenings. Maybe you prefer to be scared from the comfort of your own home. Find a scary movie on Netflix to get in the Halloween spirit.

9. Host a Halloween Party

Young or old, everyone loves to dress up for Halloween. Enjoy some sweet treats, witches brew and even some party games. Include a costume contest for some extra fun.

10. Build a bonfire

Cuddle up in a blanket and enjoy the great outdoors. Roast some marshmallows with friends and family and create the perfect s’more. (Our secret s’mores ingredient? Reeses!)
