Quick, Easy, Local Apple Crisp

Sometimes you just want a fresh and warm desert. We are in the prime of apple season and it seems necessary that we share a classic apple crisp recipe. We try to use as many local ingredients as possible and support our local farms and businesses. Made with extra love, this super-easy apple crisp is perfect for your next family get-together!

  • 4 apples
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • Wildwood Apple Crisp Mix
  • 1 cup of Treat Candied Pecans

Bonus Topping Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 T corn starch
  • 1 t vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Wash, peel, and slice 4 apples. We prefer to choose apples from locally grown orchards for fresh flavor. Fill a glass baking pan, roughly 7×9″, with the apple slices.

Melt butter and mix with Wildwood Apple Crisp Mix. We love this mix! You can trust that the proportions are perfect. It is the perfect short-cut to a delicious dessert when you may be short on time. Chop up some candied pecans and mix in to give it a little extra crunch!

Spread the mixture over the sliced apples, evenly.

Bonus Topping:

In a small sauce pan, heat up sugar, water, corn starch, and vanilla. Bring to a boil. Pour mixture over the top of the apples and crisp mix.

Bake, uncovered for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream. Option to add caramel drizzle on top.
